Homes 4 Sale by Owner Network was founded by Michelle and Randall Hudson in March of 2002. Their passion for serving the community led them to develop the company to meet the needs of a new and growing by owner real estate market. After nearly two years of development, the first Homes 4 Sale by Owner Network.com national website launched on January 1, 2003 as an alternative for home owners to advertise their home by owner or find a home by owner without paying a commission.
The first Homes 4 Sale by Owner Network Customer Service Center Office opened in Toledo, Ohio in March of 2003 to meet the company's goal to provide a walk-in information and referral support center to support growing seller success stories and the community's need for expanded services. Homes 4 Sale by Owner Network Magazine subsequently premiered in July of 2003, reflecting the company's mission to empower homeowners with the information they needed to succeed by showcasing by owner homes and self-help articles in a professional publication. Less than a year later, Homes 4 Sale by Owner Network Magazine was honored with an award for PUBLICATION OF THE YEAR in March of 2004. The company was further acknowledged in 2004 as a finalist for a Stevie Award for BEST NEW SERVICE OF THE YEAR.
To support plans for national expansion in 2005 our national website was enhanced with new expanded features for home sellers and subsequently received a SAM Award for WEBSITE OF THE YEAR. Founder Michelle Hudson was featured on the cover of the Summer, 2005 issue of SPOTLIGHT ON WOMEN MAGAZINE, and named as a Stevie Award Finalist for WOMAN ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR. The company was acknowledged as a finalist for MOST INNOVATIVE SERVICE OF THE YEAR at the Stevie Awards in New York City, sponsored by the Advanta Corporation and hosted by Bill Rancik of the Apprentice.
As Seen in Entrepreneur Magazine. The company was featured as an "innovative new company" in the April issue of Entrepreneur Magazine in 2006, and was listed in Entrepreneur's 2008 Special Issue.
The Homes 4Sale by Owner Network.com national website continues to grow exponentially, from 40,000 visitors in 2003, to over 1 million hits monthly today. The company is fast on its way to becoming one of the most popular by-owner websites in the USA and continues to be an innovator in the industry with exciting NEW opportunities to be announced in 2008.
