A real estate attorney can guide you through the process of negotiating a purchase agreement when you have questions, and should always review the final document before you sign it, as well as review all legal and closing documents prior to signing. The fee you pay an attorney will be very small compared to the money you can ultimately save in negotiating the right price and terms of sale for your home and will be FAR LESS than paying a commission to an agent to do this for you, and you still may find you need an attorney.
